The environmental authority signed an inter-institutional agreement
The director of the Galapagos National Park, Danny Rueda; and the director of the Jocotoco Conservation Foundation, Martin Schaefer, signed an inter-institutional cooperation agreement in the Directors' Room of the DPNG, in the canton of Santa Cruz.
The five-year agreement will allow for the sharing of efforts for the development and implementation of the ecological restoration project of Floreana, focused on the removal of invasive species and the reintroduction of locally extinct species.
Through this agreement, the parties commit to provide technical, logistical and planning support for the different activities related to the conservation and restoration projects.
Jocotoco, an NGO based in San Cristóbal, will facilitate its reserve area for the development of actions to manage invasive species.
